FAQ

I don’t claim to be a mind reader, but I’ll do my best to answer some questions you may be pondering. Just in case you’re wondering…

Yes, but there is one exception. If you’re home has been professionally cleaned within the last month, then we can skip the Deep Cleaning and pick up where the other cleaning service left off.

There is a $50 late cancellation fee when you cancel or reschedule within 48 hours of your scheduled cleaning. You can make any schedule changes, at no cost to you, anytime outside our 48 hour window. If our teams arrive to your scheduled cleaning and can’t access the property, then we charge 50% of the total cleaning fee.

A labor hour is defined as one hour of labor performed by one cleaning professional. Just a fancy way of saying, “per hour, per cleaner.”

Example: 

If a team of 2 cleaners completes your cleaning between 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM, then they completed a total of 6 labor hours. The same is true if a single cleaner completes your cleaning from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM.

In both examples, 6 labor hours were completed. Having 2 cleaners or 1 cleaner DOES NOT affect the final price, only the time occupying your home. There is a 4 labor hour minimum for any job. Billable time may include loading and unloading supplies & equipment from a vehicle. If you have any questions regarding labor hours or billing procedures please call the office prior to your scheduled cleaning.

All you need to do is let us know how to access your home and record any special instruction in your booking notes, then you’re free to go SHRED THE GNAR

For a more personal touch, you can greet our team and show them any areas of concern or special instructions – we love meeting our customers. Either way, your home is going to be immaculate by the end of the day.

Yes, all of our independent domestic cleaners carry their own general liability insurance.

Absolutely! At Merit Maids, we believe in quality and consistency. You’ll get the same cleaning professional at each of your recurring cleanings. If there’s ever a scheduling conflict, then we’ll let you know. You can either request another trained and experienced team member or we can wait until your schedules jive.
